2006 Highlights:
It was eleven attempts in the making but finally Boxcar Willey's quest for the Mongrel Masters title has ended. Although playing from one of the earlier groups, it should not detract from the fact that he is only the third person ever to lead the Mongrel Masters from to start to finish. Although having a jittery finish on the last hole with a double bogey 6, Boxcar set a clubhouse lead that was
unassailable. Perennial runner up Red Colby, was not able to gain the one shot he trailed by as he teed off on the last hole. Red's trademark
disastrous form on the finishing hole once again came to haunted
him, having made a double bogey 6. This means incredibly for the 6th successive time Colby was the runner up.
