Highlights:
Having been unceremoniously shafted from the Palm Beach Golf Course by
a dim witted Club official, the Mongrel Masters was played at Long
Reef. This was the first time in the Tournaments history that it was
not played at Palm Beach. In what can only be described as one of the
ugliest and most disgraceful tournaments, and likened to a bar room
brawl. Harold P Ouvrier emerged the victor. His win was one of true
guts and determination, as the ferocity of the sledging and
gamesmanship has never reached such a level. Remaining totally in
control of his emotions, Harold P shut out the flack that was thrown
at him to keep the late charge from Doormat McKeown at bay and to
record a one stroke win and golfing immortality as the 1995 Mongrel
masters Champion.
