1991 Highlights:
On a day which would have been more suited for ducks, with torrential rain greeting the players as they stepped onto the first tee, 1991 saw the Mongrel Masters grow in stature and attract nine competitors. Included in the field was its first international player, Mav Yokohama, who flew in from Japan for the event. Mav was to go on and win the Bradman Award, making him "oh so happy". Rookie, Wilko Wilkinson started the round on fire with a birdie on the second hole. However he was to suffer one of his now famous chokes on the third hole and drop from the lead. Noni went on to birdie the fourth hole and streak to the top of the leader board. Noni continued to play good solid golf and at the end of the day was donning the blue tweed for the second year in succession.
