Became the
1995 Mongrel Masters Champion with one of the all time great rounds to
conquer his fears. Contested in play-off with Ramrod for '93 Masters.
Hit great drive from the tee only to choke on approach shot and shank
ball out of bounds. His 2nd place in 1999 Mongrel Masters made him the
third player to pass the $1million mark.
In 2000
recorded worst position for nine years when he slumped to 6th. Seemed
more consumed on extinguishing the chances of another competitor
by giving his ball a golden shower with his trouser hose than with his
own game. Competitor had to go for hepatitis shot following the
Tournament. Seemed to redeem his poor form after returning to the top5
in 2001 and 2002. However the 2002 result was clouded with controversy when he was accused of score fixing, shot running and
ball tampering. He then followed this in 2003 reaching a low ebb
when he tied for 8th. The question that many are asking now is how low
can he go?
