Continued
his improvement on the Leader Board by coming in at tied 2nd position
at the '98 Mongrel Masters, his highest finish ever. Had people asking
whether the standard of golf was slipping to an all time
low? Reality struck back in '99 when he blew out to a disastrous round
of 52 his all time high. In 2002 Chad shot the same scores as '99 and
2000 yet recorded a top 5 placing. He was severely ridiculed for his
cordiality and lack of sledging. Chad turned this around in 2002 when
he was back at his savaging best sledging and putting all of his group
members out of contention. Ironically Chad shot two strokes better than in
2001, yet finished 17th. Then in 2003 Chad almost created the greatest
upset ever by carding his best round ever of 39 to force a 3 way play off
with Butch Boyer and Red Colby. Chad took the gas in the first playoff
hole and lost to Butch Boyer. Never the less he still ended up with
the runner up cheque, his highest to date of $245000
Other
highlight of Chad's career includes; Foundation
member of the Mongrel Masters. Winner of the 1990 Best Dressed Award
and was elected a Life Member in 2002
