Ramrod resurrects career to make it number three

Having written him off as a "joke", the critics were eating their words when Ramrod Ramsey stormed passed the field to claim his third Mongrel Masters Championship.

In controversial circumstances, Ramrod, held off a late charge from Harold P Ouvrier to win by one stroke.

The controversy arose when Rambo later confided to Harold he had incorrectly counted the score on the eigth hole, shaving a stroke from his actual score of four to have a three recorded. Enough to win him the honor of donning the Blue Tweed.

"Not much we can do about it" says Tournament Director Noni Scanlon

"It's all hearsay. There is no evidence to back the claim up, however I wouldn't put it past the rat!."
