Legend Outs on National Television


Legend Ensor at the 1994 Mongrel Masters became the Champion of the Gay community when he spoke openly on the Network Ten television program. Sports Tonight, of his sexuality and his love for cross dressing. Legend was the first profile sportsman to out publicly in Australia and it was his example that led to totally Ian Roberts outing later this year.
 

Legend also stole the limelight with his attire by wearing black and red striped tights and a floral blouse with shoulder pads." I came straight from an all night rave at DCM's and didn't have time to get changed. I would have liked to have worn my little chiffon number, maybe I'll wear that next year." said Legend after receiving the Best Dressed Award at the Mongrel Masters presentation function.
 

Since the Masters outing. Legend has become somewhat of a cult figure. He has a permanent spot at the Les Girls Caberet every Friday night, where he has quite a following, and at this years Gay Mardi Gras a Legend Ensor float was paraded down the streets.
 

"Its all sort of flattering really" said Legend when asked about his notoriety " People point at me and whistle at me when they see me out at night. Sailors even buy me drinks now."
 

The question on every ones lips is what will Legend wear at the 1995 Mongrel Masters? We will just have to wait and see.
