Rules get whimp!

The 1993 Mongrel Masters Championship was once again embroiled in controversy following the Match Committee invoking a 5 stroke penalty on Paulus Tenney.

New rules were introduced last year to irradiate whimpish behavior, propogate sledging and foster the true Mongrel spirit. The Match Committee found that Paulus did not consume any beers during the Tournament. Thus contravening Law Three sub clause A.

"It was the most flagrant example of bringing the Tournament into disrepute since its inception." stated Committee Chairman Noni Scanlon. "He was damn lucky that we didn't rip up his tour card and suspend him from playing in 1994."

Chad Todd when asked for his comments on the matter did not seem surprised of Paulus' behavior. "Yeah well what do you expect from someone who slipped from first to last in 1991. Since then he has always blamed the booze, not his lack of ability. I guess this has blown that theory away. What excuse will he use next year?"
