Chad G Todd and Ramrod Ramsey elected Life Members

Foundation member Chad G Todd and four time champion Ramrod Ramsey were elected Life Members of the Mongrel Masters at the 2002 Champions dinner to join Noni Scanlon, King Bonser and Ramrod Ramsey.

Life Membership of the Mongrel Masters is achieved after ten years of participation in the tournament. With Chad having played in all but one Mongrel Masters since its inception in 1990, and Ramrod playing in ten out of the past eleven tournaments, their election was a formality. 

Having to be woken up from his bed to receive his life members shirt, Ramrod Ramsey was stunned when he was called forward in front of his peers. "This is a great honour and something I will always cherish" said an emotional Ramsey

Significantly Mongrel Masters Patron, Peter Lonard, was happy to donate the Life Member shirts that were lying in the bottom of his cupboard. They formed part of an ill-fated clothing contract that he once had and are undoubtedly the most hideous golf shirts ever made, making them quite fitting for Life Member shirts of the Mongrel Masters.
