Robo Robertson World Number One

2000 Mongrel Masters Champion and newly crowned World number one,  Robo Robinson is hailed by the players on the 9th green 

Robo Robertson has continued his meteoric rise and made it to the top of the world in the Mongrel World Golf Rankings after only two years on the Tour. With a 6th placing in 2001 in defense of his 2000 title Robo displaced Noni Scanlon from the number one ranking. Scanlon's second worst ever performance in 2001 saw him slide to 4th.The obvious big mover was 2001 Mongrel Masters Champion, Lurch Hayden who jumped into 2nd spot moving Red Colby down a notch to 3rd.

Noni Scanlon still top earner - Harold P Ouvrier makes it to number two 

Since the inception of the Mongrel Masters Noni Scanlon has been at the top of the Career Money Lists and even after a disappointing 8th placing in 2001 he set another earnings milestone of $1,753,333. Harold P Ouvrier finally overcame Ramrod Ramsey's cement hold at second position, while Lurch Hayden bulleted into the top 10 care of his tournament victory.
